Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency said 3 people were killed and 2 injured in heavy rain that triggered a landslide in Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province

In another incident, 3 people were killed when a landslide destroyed houses in Karingin District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. At least 5 other buildings were seriously damaged.

Continued heavy rainfall may cause more flooding in low-lying communities near rivers, streams, and creeks. Coastal flooding is also possible during high tides. Urban flooding is also possible in developed areas with easily overflowing storm sewer systems. Areas downstream of major reservoirs or rivers may be subject to flash flooding after relatively short periods of intense rainfall. Power outages may occur throughout the affected area.

Heavy rain continued to hit parts of the island with flooding and landslides damaging about 300 houses in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java.
