And Instagram has decided to do something about unwanted flashing on their platform. Meta recently confirmed development of an optional Protection filter for Instagram DMs. In which pictures that contain certain images will be covered with an option to view them. Now, Meta claims it won’t have access to the images themselves, but rather use technology already on your device to cover the photo. But, as some have said, big tech companies don’t have a great track record with privacy. Is it worth the privacy concern to not have unwanted nudes in your DMs?
