Teammates, friends, and fans welcomed interim UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan, who returned home after his fight from Abu Dhabi.

Footage filmed at the Koltcovo airport in Ekaterinburg on Monday shows fans greeting, congratulating, and taking photos with the MMA athlete.

The champion himself shared his emotions after the important win.

“For this fight, I was just so focused and I gave myself the attitude that I had to get this belt back, even if by some means or other I lost it, but I had to pull myself together and do my thing. I was cold-blooded, calculating, and did my job,” stated Yan.

In the UFC 267 tournament in Abu Dhabi, Petr Yan defeated American Corey Sandhagen, who replaced Aljamain Sterling due to injury.
