‘Iranian Instagram Influencers JAILED for THIS Video’

An Iranian influencer couple have been jailed for 10 years each for posting a video of themselves dancing on social media.

Astiyazh Haghighi, 21, and Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, 22, can be seen dancing in Azadi Square - which translates to “Freedom Square”. In the video, Haghighi was not wearing a headscarf in defiance of Iran’s strict rules. Women are also not allowed to dance in public, let alone with a man. 

The couple, who are engaged, are both full-time content creators on Instagram, each with nearly a million followers on Instagram.
