Israel Defense Forces were conducting search and rescue operations on Monday night after one of the IDF helicopters crashed off the coast of Haifa, claiming the lives of two pilots.

Operations were ongoing on Tuesday morning to retrieve pieces of the helicopter debris.

A third crew member was recovered alive and taken to the hospital for treatment.
