The funeral of a journalist who was shot dead while reporting in the West Bank has descended into chaos.

Shireen was killed while covering an Israeli military raid on the West Bank city of Jenin.

Thousands of Palestinians attended the funeral in Jerusalem for the fallen Al Jazeera journalist but tensions were high.

Police and mourners scuffled as the body of the slain journalist was carried out of a hospital in East Jerusalem.

Israeli forces moved in and began beating them with batons, causing the pallbearers to briefly drop the casket.
