The International Space Station (ISS) crew welcomed cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and two Japanese space tourists, billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his assistant Yozo Hirano, to the space station on Wednesday.
The trio opened the hatches between the ISS and the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft, joining the rest of the crew aboard the station.
The Soyuz rocket lifted off from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 07:48 GMT on Wednesday morning, arriving at the station six hours later, at 13:40 GMT.
During their stay at the International Space Station, Maezawa and Hirano will paint a first space picture with brushes on canvas in a special box. They will also experiment on mixing paints and water in zero gravity.

They will spend 12 days onboard the orbital outpost and return on December 20.
