The largest street artwork in Europe was inaugurated in San Vito lo Capo in Sicily, featuring metamorphic figures depicting the land and the sea in a mesmerising piece titled ‘La Porta del Mare’ or ‘Gate to the Sea’, as seen on Sunday.

Street artist Ale Senso is the mind behind this impressive artwork, realised in 26 days thanks to the active participation of several local high school students.

“It is beautiful, above all, because you no longer play in a normal field as it was before now it is colorful, and the work is beautiful above all seen from above,” said Nino, a local sports instructor.

The artwork covers an area of about 2,300 square metres, and it was created using over 500 kg of water-based bi-component resin on the asphalt.
