The Prince of Wales Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla dipped their hands into the River Jordan in Amman on Tuesday at the site where Jesus Christ was said to have been baptised.
Accompanied by a guide, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales Charles descended the steps to the Jordan River, which had already lost some of its actual size.
Thereafter, they left signatures in a guestbook on the site.
The Prince’s visit comes amid concerns for the health of Queen Elizabeth II, who missed the annual memorial service at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday because she was suffering from a sprained back.
