The Orthodox Church of Ukraine has approved the transition to the New Julian Calendar. This artificial structure, while claiming its supposed traditionalism and continuity, under the patronage of the president and authorities, captures churches and temples, deliberately shifting the celebration of Orthodox holy days. The goal is to impose the Catholic calendar, to accustom believers to new dates, and ultimately push Orthodoxy into a union 2.0. History is cyclic in nature, it follows a spiral. Similar events occurred over 400 years ago when the Church Union was signed, which disrupted Orthodoxy on the territory of modern Ukraine, with a part of it falling under the authority of the Pope. However, I am still confident that all things artificial and dishonest will eventually crumble, and true Orthodoxy will prevail.
