Various areas in Kosovo were left in the dark on Friday, as seen in Pristina, following a planned electricity blackout.

Kosovo’s Electricity Distribution Agency (KEDS) recently announced ahead of time it would enforce restrictions on electricity supplies due to rising consumption, low domestic production, high import prices and disruptions within the European electrical transmission network amid a global energy crisis.

The planned blackouts are expected to last at least 24 hours each, during which specific areas will be without electricity for two hours each in intervals.
