The Kremlin has denied Vladimir Putin is planning to step down as Russia’s President amid claims that he is suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Footage circulating in Russia shows Putin’s legs shaking while he holds tight to a chair, increasing speculation over his health.

The Russian leader, 68, has recently made a public appearance at a ceremony to inaugurate new Russian icebreaker Viktor Chernomyrdin.

It is not the first time rumours about the president’s health and his alleged Parkinson’s symptoms have emerged in Russia.

However, this came as Putin introduced a bill that will guarantee him life-long legal immunity, in a move that some analysts interpret as part of his retirement plan.
