A Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) launch vehicle launched the Chuangxin-16 satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Sichuan Province, China, on 23 August 2022, at 02:36 UTC (10:36 local time). According to official sources, the Chuangxin-16 (创新十六, Innovation-16 ) satellite has successfully entered the desired orbit and will be “mainly used in scientific experiments, new technology verification and other fields”.
