For Virgin Orbit’s Tubular Bells: Part One mission, the “Cosmic Girl” aircraft took off from Mojave Air and Spaceport in California on 30 June 2021, at 13:50 UTC (06:50 PDT). “Cosmic Girl” traveled off the Pacific coast to about 9.6 km (31500ft) in altitude, then released the LauncherOne rocket that launched 7 satellites into orbit, at 14:47 UTC (07:47 PDT).
