Libya: PM Dbeibah supports December 24 national election

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Interim Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, confirmed his commitment to support the High Electoral Commission in organising the national election ‘on time,’ according to the planned date of December 24, 2021, during the ‘Libya Stabilisation Conference’ in Tripoli, on Thursday.

“Since assuming my duties, I have clearly committed to supporting the High Electoral Commission to implement the elections on time, in implementation of local and international obligations, and to confirm that our government came for the stability and peace of Libya after years of political and social fragmentation and fragmentation,” said Dbeibah.

Dbeibah also called on the parties concerned with the Libyan issue to ‘support the stability’ of the country and ‘understand about a permanent mechanism for communication, coordination, and resolution of outstanding issues, such as the file of the foreign presence in Libya that troubles all Libyans.’

Al-Mangoush also stressed that the interim government is concerned with ‘democracy and encouraging fair elections that guarantee participation for all segments of the people,’ as well as ‘accepting the results of these elections from all segments of the people.’

Twenty-seven countries and four regional and international organisations participate in the Libya conference, and discussions will focus on two tracks, security, military and economic, ways to solve the Libyan crisis.
