The first meeting between the special representatives of Turkey and Armenia takes place in Moscow on Friday, 14 January.
Yerevan is represented by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ruben Rubinyan and Ankara by former Ambassador of Turkey to the United States Serdar Kilic.
The talks are aimed at normalising relations between the countries. In 2009, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey signed protocols on establishing diplomatic relations, but these documents were not ratified by the parties. On March 1, 2018, Armenia cancelled the protocols.
