Ruptly is live on Friday, January 14, in front of tennis star Novak Djokovic’s lawyer’s office, after his Australian visa has been revoked for a second time.

The player had traveled to Melbourne last week in order to play in the Australian Open tennis tournament but was barred from entering the country as he failed to meet the COVID-19 entry requirements due to being unvaccinated, resulting in the star’s placement into a detention facility.

The decision was appealed by lawyers and on Monday Judge Anthony Kelly ordered the release of Djokovic, allowing him to enter the country and resume his training ahead of the tournament.

On Friday, Federal Immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced that the authorities have decided to cancel Djokovic’s visa.

The Australian Open tournament begins on Monday, January 17.
