LIVE: ‘Canelo’ and Plant hold weigh-in ahead of super middleweight unification bout

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Caleb Plant hit the scales in Las Vegas on Friday, November 5, ahead of Saturday’s four-belt super middleweight unification bout.

Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) holds the WBA, WBO and WBC championships and if he beats Plant (21-0, 12 KOs), he will add the IBF belt to his collection and become the only unified super middleweight champion in boxing history.

Both fighters have been showing a clear animosity which culminated in a scuffle with traded punches after a staredown at September’s press conference.
The fight takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 6, 2021.
