The European Parliament is holding a plenary session reagarding the situation in Belarus and its border with the EU and the security and humanitarian consequences, in Strasbourg on Tuesday, November 23.

After camping in the Belarus-Poland border in hopes of crossing towards the EU, Migrants have been moved this week to a logistics centre not far from the border. Earlier this month, tensions flared as migrants were met by Polish border guards and soldiers near the Bruzgi checkpoint.

Tensions between the EU and Belarus have been escalating in recent months, with the EU accusing Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of deliberately sending migrants over the border in response to sanctions imposed by the EU.
