Live from Buenos Aires as Argentina braces for a week-long heatwave

Ruptly is live from Buenos Aires on Tuesday, January 11, as Argentina is expected to be hit by a week-long extreme heatwave.

According to the Argentinian National Meteorological Service (SMN), the temperature is expected to exceed 35°C in the central region of the country and some parts of the northwest, while 36°C is expected in Buenos Aires.

Also according to the SMN, temperatures are expected to rise even more over the next few days, potentially reaching over 40°C in Buenos Aires on Friday.
