The Kosovo Specialist Chambers open trial for former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander Salih Mustafa on Wednesday, September 15 in The Hague.

Mustafa is being charged with war crimes including arbitrary detention, cruel treatment, torture and murder, which allegedly took place at a detention facility in Kosovo in 1999.

The ex-commander was arrested in Kosovo in 2020 and has previously pleaded not guilty to all counts at his initial appearance in The Hague.

On the first day of the trial, a total of nine people are set to read their opening statements. Mandatory credit to KSC
