The United Kingdom’s House of Commons gathers on Tuesday, December 14 in London to discuss potential further restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19, particularly its latest Omicron variant.

The country has recently implemented ““Plan B”” measures, which oblige people to wear masks in most public spaces, work from home whenever possible and present vaccination certificates for attending big venues and events.

A potential “Plan C” could see a mandatory 10-day quarantine for anyone exposed to a confirmed infection. However, several MPs, including from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative party, are expected to vote against the tougher measures.
