Long March-8 is getting ready for the first launch

The first Long March-8 launch vehicle (Long March-8 Y1) was transported to the launch site at the Wenchang Space Launch Center Hainan Province, China, on 16 December 2020. Long March-8 is a new “low-cost commercial medium launch vehicle” developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) “in accordance with the idea of modularization, serialization and combination”. The Long March-8 Y1 rocket is scheduled to be launched at the end of the month.
