An auction featuring some of the rarest movie props ever seen on the market is set to hit figures in the millions of pounds, as shown in footage filmed near Little Chalfont in Hertfordshire on Monday.

With over 1,100 props from films including the Terminator, Harry Potter, Batman and Gladiator amongst others, the total value of the collection is thought to be in the region of £5.5 million [€6.5m, $7.5m].

The main attractions in the lot come from the Star Wars franchise, including an operational R2D2, a storm trooper helmet, light sabers and a one-of-a-kind X-wing filming model.

“I think some of the most exciting pieces are properly the light sabers that we have, we also have a storm trooper Helmet from Return of the Jedi that has an auction estimate over a hundred to a hundred and fifty thousand pounds,” shares the founder.

The auction, run by Prop Store who are based in the UK and Los Angeles, will run for three days and is expected to attract attention from across the globe.
