Making A Vintage Plumb Bob

This is a simple, no nonsense project, done 99% on the wood lathe. I wanted to recreate a vintage plumb bob. And I wanted to do it for a practical reason, I am renovating part of my house and I can't seem to find two bubble levels to show me the same vertical, so I thought this ancient technology could be used to calibrate the levels. The wood is european walnut, the metal tip is a cheap bottle stopper from a gift box, I used it mostly because it had the proper shape and was threaded. But a similar tip can be made easily from brass on the lathe.
