this 45-year-old Belgian guy named David actually did it. Right, reportedly he faked his own death, only letting his wife and eventually his kids in on the scheme. Though even they believed he was really dead for a few days, with one of his daughters writing in a tribute to him on social media: “Rest in peace, Daddy. I will never stop thinking about you. Why is life so unfair?” So the day of the funeral arrives, you’ve got extended family there, mourning his death. And all of a sudden, a helicopter glides in, the door slides open, and David steps out like whaddup? With some people then hugging him and crying, all of them just shocked to see him alive. And as for why he pulled this stunt, he says he felt underappreciated by his relatives. Saying he never gets invited to anything by them, which, yeah, I can see why. But adding, “Nobody sees me. We all grew apart. … That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson and show them that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet up with them.”
