Tropical Storm Julia loomed over the eastern Pacific Ocean after pounding Nicaragua with rain and wind that damaged hundreds of homes but caused no casualties in that country, government officials said.
Local authorities have linked three deaths in Honduras to the storm, including a young woman and a four-year-old boy who died after a boat capsized near the border

The storm hit the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua near Laguna de Perlas, its center was over the Pacific Ocean about 220 kilometers southeast of the capital El Salvador, the US National Hurricane Center said.
