Armenian Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said that at least 19 civilians have been killed and some 80 injured as a result of artillery strikes on residential buildings in the separatist territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev said his country’s main purpose in Nagorno-Karabakh is to establish his country’s “territorial integrity”. He asked Armenia to withdraw its armed forces from areas that “belong to the Azerbaijani state”.

Video released by Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry allegedly shows abandoned Armenian army positions in the Nagorno-Karabakh territory, but it is not clear where these territorial gains are supposed to have been made.
Iran, which borders both countries, said it is working on a peace plan with both sides, after several shells hit Iranian villages across the border.
The decades-old conflict reignited on September 27 and has killed dozens of people on both sides.
