Two cars narrowly escaped danger as a massive underground water pipe burst in the middle of a road in Turkey.

The moment, captured on CCTV, shows one of the vehicles quickly backing up just seconds before a huge gush of water breaks through the tarmac.

The incident happened near the holiday resort of Bodrum.
