‘North Korea Launches Two Banned Ballistic Missiles’

Kim Jong-un has flown in the face of UN resolutions once again with two more missile tests.

The first such tests since January saw “tactical guided projectiles” hit a target off North Korea.

Japanese officials said both weapons tested were ballistic missiles, which are prohibited by UN Security Council resolutions.

In its most recent military parade, staged January 2021, North Korea displayed missiles similar in appearance to the ones tested.

South Korea’s Foreign Minister urged the North to uphold its commitments for peace.

President Joe Biden says that addressing a nuclearised North Korea is his top foreign policy issue.
