After two weeks of protests over a vaccine mandate in Ottawa, Ontario is now declaring a state of emergency to end the blockade.

The truckers, travelling from both sides of the U.S. border, want all vaccine requirements and COVID-19 restrictions lifted.

This has seen conflict between the trucker protesters and Ottawa’s residents, who feel their city is being held hostage.
