There were long queues outside petrol stations ahead of a nationwide strike starting Thursday, in Karachi on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has said fuel stations will remain closed Thursday in response to the government refusing to increase their profit margin.
The state-run Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has assured customers that the petrol stations they operate will remain open during the strike.
