Mourners gathered to honour the death of Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Muzaffarabad on Thursday.
Geelani was the founder of the Kashmiri separatist party Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
Mourners afterwards gathered for a demonstration calling for freedom from India.
Syed Ali Gailani, died at the age of 92 on Wednesday night, at his home in Srinagar, following a lengthy illness. He had been under house arrest for around 11 years.

SOT, Tanveer Khan, Secretary General of Jamaat e Islami (Urdu): “When his funeral was taken, the cruel Indian imperialists were scared of his body and funeral. His lovers and the Muslims were not allowed to offer the funeral prayers, but it doesn’t matter.”
