Palestine yanks ambassador to UAE after Israel deal

As the Trump administration revels in a newly brokered deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Palestine has recalled its ambassador to the UAE. It called the deal a “blow to the Arab Peace Initiative.” Meanwhile, Brian Hook is no longer the US special envoy to Iran. Instead, Elliott Abrams, who was convicted in the Iran Contra scandal and involved in attempts to incite regime change in Venezuela and other countries, will fill the position. This all comes as the United Nations Security Council votes Friday on a US resolution to indefinitely extend the arms embargo on Iran.
