A 15-year-old in the Detroit suburbs has been placed in juvenile detention for not completing her homework. She was initially placed on probation due to a long documented history of alleged behavioral issues that resulted in calls to police by her mother. The young girl was abiding by the terms of her parole until the pandemic caused her school resources to vanish. Now her mother says she is languishing in a child prison.
