The GTS operator of Ukraine decided to compensate for the interruptions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. Earlier, Gazprom announced that gas transportation via Nord Stream would be suspended for three days, from August 31 to September 2, due to scheduled maintenance of the only working gas compressor unit (GCU) at the Portovaya compressor station (CS).
“Taking into account the regular interruptions in the operation of Nord Stream in recent months, as well as the announced stop of this route at the end of August, we remind you of the availability of alternative corridors through Ukraine and Poland,” the Ukrainian GTS operator said in a statement.
