Peru: Seven killed after tourist plane crashes at Nazca Lines

A light plane carrying sightseers during a flight above the Nazca Lines archaeological site in the Peruvian desert on Friday crashed, killing at least seven people onboard.
Local authorities confirmed that three Dutch tourists, two Chilean tourists, and two Peruvian members of crew have died in the crash.
Cessna 207 single-engine plane crashed after takeoff, burst into flames after hitting the ground, with no survivors to be found. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The Nazca Lines, one of Peru’s most popular tourist attractions, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Many tourists use local tour operators to fly over the archaeological site home to hundreds of gigantic geoglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years.
