Traveling through airports is stressful at the best of times, and in many places, it’s an absolute nightmare. And nowhere is that more true than Heathrow airport near London, which has limited the amount of departing passengers to just 100,000 per day. Making matters worse is a sudden uptick in how many people request wheelchair service. Heathrow’s CEO blames a “travel hack” trend on TikTok that has users abusing wheelchairs services when they clearly don’t need it.
They do it to pass security and customs quickly, but it strains already understaffed airports as individual employees need to be with the wheelchair. The moral of the story: Don’t be an ass at the airport and pretend you need a wheelchair. Some people legitimately need those services, and you’re making them look bad for something they can’t control. Not to mention that…
