Police Make Grim Discovery in Search for Jesse Baird and Luke Davies

The search for missing couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies has gripped Australia over the past week.

A police officer who previously dated Jesse Baird has already been charged with murder.

Beaumont Lamarre-Condon allegedly killed the pair inside Baird’s home in Sydney, before using ‘surf bags’ to transport their bodies in a white van.

Their remains were found near the entrance to a property in Bungonia, some two hours south of the city.

Jesse Baird was a TV presenter and red carpet reporter, while Luke Davies was a flight attendant for Quantas.

Lamarre-Condon worked as a celebrity blogger before joining the New South Wales police force in 2019.

The murder has led to calls for police to be barred from attending Sydney’s iconic Mardi Gras parade, leading to much debate online.

It’s the first suspected murder carried out by a New South Wales police officer in decades, prompting a review of access to firearms.
