Preparing bee hives for winter. This is the 2nd video of this series (Bee Hive Winter preparation). In this video, I go over ventilation and moisture control in a bee hive. Moisture kills more bees during the winter months than the cold air itself. So keeping condensation down in the hive is mandatory. When honey bees cluster during winter the heat coming from the clusters rises, naturally. With the outside temperature being colder than the heat the cluster is producing causing condensation on the inner cover. This condensation drips on the cluster of bees killing them. Bee can tolerate cold but getting them wet along with being cold is a sure fire way to kill them. In this video I will show you a few tricks to prevent moisture in a bee hive. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: " Caging A Queen Bee " ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M8iB_Kus_w -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
