The fourth edition of the ‘Jump Like a Pharaoh’ skydiving festival kicked off on Monday on top of the pyramids under the motto of “Peace Message from Egypt to the world”.

The festival attracted over 200 professional jumpers from all over the world. They will have the chance to jump from two planes in the vicinity of the three pyramids of Giza.

The festival featured skydiving world champions Greg Cozier, Karine Joly, adventurer Kaby San and wingsuit flyers Fred Fugen.

“It’s hard to describe because it’s so incredible to jump over the Pyramids. It is a great honour and a great privilege. That is the fourth year where I have the chance to skydiving jump,” said Crozier after executing multiple jumps.

“Every time it’s mind-blowing. The landscape reveals as you get closer to the ground, and you really enjoy the landscape under your parachute. There are no words to describe the emotion that we have when we fly just above the pyramids with all their history, it’s amazing,” added Joly.

The festival is due to run until November 9.
