‘Rape Suspect Facing US Extradition Claims To Be Irish Orphan’

An extradition hearing has been taking place in Edinburgh for a man wanted in the US on rape charges.

Nicholas Rossi, 35, has been accused of faking his own death to evade the charges.

Rossi claims to be a victim of false identity and says he is an Irish orphan named Arthur Knight.

In November, Edinburgh Sheriff Court ruled that he is the man US authorities are seeking.
