‘Rayan: Moroccan Boy DIES After Days Trapped in Well’

A boy who was trapped down a well for four days has died after a painstaking rescue effort.

Work to free the five-year-old began after he fell 32m through the well’s narrow opening.

Rescuers cheered as the boy was brought out, but no word was given about his condition.

Initial jubilence over the rescue quickly gave way to sorrow as news of Rayan’s death broke.
