Picasso’s rescue story - The wonky faced dog finds forever home.

Picasso and his brother Pablo were picked up by animal control. They had been living on the street. My organization, Luvable Dog Rescue, decided to pull the brothers after I saw a photo of Picasso and fell in love with his unusual face. When I found out he had a brother, I knew we couldn’t leave him behind. 

We didn’t know if Picasso had been injured or what had caused his upper mandible to be so twisted. A vet exam determined that Picasso had been born with his perfectly imperfect face. It’s a condition called wry mouth. Picasso is not in any pain and he does not need any type of corrective surgery. We did have to remove an upper canine that was digging into his lower mouth simply because it was in the wrong place due to his twisted face. 

Picasso has fully recovered from that surgery and has gone on to live a very happy life at lovable. I ended up adopting Picasso. Picasso now lives with nine other dogs, a pig and three cats in my home in Eugene, Oregon.
