Rescued Dog-sized horse now living her best life - Dwarf horse Martha

Meet Martha, a horse the size of a golden retriever, who suffers from genetic mutation dwarfism. In December of 2018, the then two-month-old horse (Dwarf horse Martha) was advertised on Craigslist as a “Christmas present.” R&R Ranch owner Stacy and her daughter saw that ad and intervened. When they arrived at the Iowa farm to pick Martha up, they found that her legs were quite deformed and she couldn’t walk on her own. In the months since they’ve gotten her the veterinary care and surgeries she needs.

Martha is now living the good life on Stacy’s ranch in Wildwood, Missouri. She can be seen dancing, playing with her friends, and cuddling with the family that rescued her.
