Russia: Fire breaks out on unfinished warship in St Petersburg

A fire broke out onboard a 20385-class corvette under construction at St Petersburg’s Severnaya Verf Shipyard, on Friday.

Over 150 firefighters were working to contain and put out the fire which had spread to 800 square metres (8,600 sq ft). At least three firefighters were already reportedly injured and receiving medical attention.

The corvette named Provorny (Agile) was to be completed by the end of 2022.
