TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM - Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected armament storages and the implementation of the state defence order in Omsk region.

The Minister of Defence drew particular attention to improving the protection of crews and armoured vehicles when preparing them for shipment to the special operations zone.

The head of the Main Agency of Automobiles and Tanks of the Russian Ministry of Defence Major General Aleksandr Shestakov reported that all armoured vehicles have been adjusted to meet protection requirements and the vehicles have already been loaded onto railway platforms and are ready to be shipped to the troops.

At a rocket and artillery storage, Sergei Shoigu inspected the organisation of routine maintenance and repair of rocket and artillery armaments prior to their dispatch to units taking part in the special military operation and also undergoing combat readiness as part of a combat training of the units.

 The head of Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defence Lieutenant General Nikolai Parshin reported to the Minister of Defence that over 4,000 different artillery pieces have already been prepared at this reserve base and sent to the special military operation area. In the near future it is planned to send more than 700 additional units of artillery weapons.(*)
