Crews of Su-35S multi-role fighters of the Russian Air and Space Forces have been re-deployed to Belarus as part of a test of the Union State’s response forces, as reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday.

According to the ministry, in preparation for the relocation, the engineering staff of the aviation regiment carried out a detailed check of the operation of all systems and equipment of the aircraft.

“During flight assignments, Russian Air Force crews will practice maximum range flights, landing at Belarusian airfields, as well as joint preparations with Belarusian specialists for repeated sorties,” said the ministry.

It is reported that the testing of the Union State response forces will be held in two stages. The first phase will include redeployment and establishment of groupings of troops in the territory of Belarus as soon as possible by February 9, the organization of protection and defense of important state and military facilities, protection of the state border in the air.

During the second stage, from February 10 to 20, a joint exercise ‘Allied Resolve-2022’ will be carried out, in the course of which the questions of suppression and repulsion of external aggression, as well as a counteraction to terrorism and protection of interests of the Union State, will be worked out.
