The Russian withdrawal from parts of the Kharkiv region has left a trail of destruction - now it’s time for those who survived to begin to rebuild.

The region had been under occupation since the start of the war and the strategic points of both Izium and Hraove were very valuable for Russia.

In what is the biggest defeat since being forced back from Kyiv in March, Russia has lost the key link up point for their troops in the Donbas.

Only about 30 people remain in Hrakove from the pre-war population of about 1,000, and there’s no much left from the town after 6 months occupied by Russian forces.
