Russia's State Hermitage Museum auctions NFTs of world-renowned artworks

Russian State Hermitage Museum started its first auction of non-fungible tokens, digital objects with certified ownership, or NFTs on the Binance platform, Tuesday.

The footage, filmed on Thursday, shows Leonardo da Vinci’s Madonna Litta and Giorgione’s Judith digital copies being put up for auction.

The museum NFT collection consists of its five cherished exhibits including works of Leonardo da Vinci, Giorgione, Monet, Van Gogh and Kandinsky.

Each artwork has two NFT copies: one of them will be stored in the Hermitage, and the second will be sold at auction on the Binance NFT marketplace.

Any digital image on the internet is just an image on the Internet, yet NFT is the aesthetics of ownership. So, you can say with confidence this is your NFT and it is non-copied, as it is non-fungible with other tokens. If we explain NFT in Russian with slight inaccuracy, in fact, this is how it can be described.
